Children have been warned not to play in the Lampas factory behind Pont Bungalows in Leadgate. PC Louise Ramshaw of Durham Constabulary said:
“We really need to warn people of the dangers of letting their children play in this old factory building, everything of value has been removed and the roof is collapsing"1
It is sad that the fibreglass factory that has been in Leadgate for a while now is closing down. It would be tragic if a child was injured during the demolition process, which is expected to take around 4 weeks.
